Hei-Man Chow Awarded 3-Year Alzheimer’s Association
Research Fellowship

Dr Hei-Man Chow, IAS Junior Fellow and Research Assistant Professor of Life Science, has also been awarded an Alzheimer’s Association Research Fellowship, with 3 years’ funding to support her research.

Chow’s research studies the molecular mechanisms on how insulin resistance—a pre-diabetic conditio —contributes to neurodegeneration and elevated risks of Alzheimer's disease. Her research findings will evaluate how conventional anti-diabetic drugs may prevent the neuronal dysfunction of early-stage Alzheimer’s disease.
