Prof. Thomas RANDO, Professor of Neurology and Neurological Sciences at Stanford University, USA (right), and Prof. David WANG Der-Wei, Edward C. Henderson Professor of Chinese Literature at Harvard University (left), are among newly elected Members of the American Academy of Arts & Sciences (AAAS), an honorary society that recognizes world leaders from across disciplines and convenes professions to address important issues.

Another IAS Senior Visiting Fellow Prof. CHENG Yifan, Professor of Biochemistry and Biophysics at University of California, San Francisco, is also a Member of AAAS. He was recently elected as Member by the US National Academy of Sciences in recognition of his distinguished achievements in original research.
