IAS Academicians Participate in ASHK Establishment

To promote the development and advancement of science and technology in Hong Kong, IAS Bank of East Asia Professor Ching W. Tang and IAS Senior Fellow Prof Mingjie Zhang have joined the newly-established Academy of Sciences of Hong Kong (ASHK) with HKUST President Prof Tony F. Chan, President Emeritus and IAS Founding Director Prof Paul Chu and HKUST Dean of Science Prof Nancy Y. Ip as founding members.

The inauguration of ASHK and the first Science and Technology Innovation Summit hosted by ASHK were held in December 2015, with the presence of all the founding members and guests from different industries worldwide. In the Summit, Prof Tang delivered a lecture titled “OLED – The Next-generation Display Technology” to share his experience and insights on technology transfers.
